There are two ways to open a new Private Window:
Open a new Private Window from the Firefox menu
- Click the menu button and then click .
The Private Browsing home page will open in a new window.
Open a link in a new Private Window
- Right-clickHold down the control key while you click on any link and choose Open Link in New Private Window from the context menu.
- Visited pages: Pages will not be added to the list of sites in the History menu, the Library window's history list, nor in the address bar drop-down list.
- Form and Search Bar entries: Nothing you enter into text boxes on web pages nor the Search bar will be saved for Form autocomplete.
- Download List entries: Files you download will not be listed in the Downloads Window after you turn off Private Browsing.
- Cookies: Cookies store information about websites you visit such as site preferences, login status, and data used by plugins like Adobe Flash. Cookies can also be used by third parties to track you across websites. See How do I turn on the Do Not Track feature? for more information about tracking. Cookies set in private windows are held temporarily in memory, separate from regular window cookies, and discarded at the end of your private session (after the last private window is closed).
- Cached Web Content and Offline Web Content and User Data: Temporary Internet files (cached files) and files that websites save for offline use will not be saved.
- New passwords and bookmarks you create while using Private Browsing will be saved.
- Any files you download to your computer while using Private Browsing will be saved.
Firefox is set to remember history by default but you can change this setting in your Firefox Privacy OptionsPreferencesSettingsPreferences:
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences.Click the menu button and select ...
- Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the History section.
- Choose Use custom settings for history from the drop-down menu and check the Always use private browsing mode setting.
- Alternatively, you can select Never remember history from the drop-down menu, which is equivalent to always being in Private Browsing mode.
- Restart Firefox.
- You can always remove recent browsing, search and download history after visiting a site.

Firefox Profile for Windows
If you are using Windows, the recommended way of accessing I2P is using theFirefox profile.
If you do not wish to use that profile or are not on Windows, you need toconfigure your browser yourself. Read below on how to that.

Experimental, extension-based Configuration
A new way of automatically configuring the I2P Browser iscurrently being tested. It uses the Firefox's 'Container Tabs' to build privatebrowsing tools for use with I2P and I2P applications.
It does pre-configuration of your browser by enabling some ofthe privacy Browser Settings like ResistFingerprinting, and enforces WebRTC proxyobedience. It also contains menus, shortcuts, and monitoring tools improvingFirefox's integration with I2P. It is a by-product of the I2P Browser project. Bannersunblocked games.

Instructions for Firefox 57 and above:
From the Menu button in the top right, select Preferences.Scroll down until you see the Network Proxy section, as shown in thescreenshot below. Click on Settings

Experimental, extension-based Configuration
An experimental, partially-automated configuration process forChrome is available. In order to configure it, create a new Profileespecially for your I2P browsing, separate from the default profile. Then installthis Extension in your newly-created profile. This profileis now configured to use I2P. Highly detailed instructions are available at thehomepage.
All Chrome Versions
Chromium-Based Browsers like Chrome have slightly different places for theirproxy settings depending on variant and platform. These instructions may beslightly different in Brave or Iridium, for instance. From the Mainmenu, navigate to the Settings, and search for the menu item.Clicking it will open the right settings for your platform.
On Windows, this button will launch you into the shared proxy settings usedby Internet Explorer, and you can configure it byfollowing the Internet Explorer 8 guide.
IceRaven and other Firefoxes for Android
Extension-based Configuration

Modern Firefoxes(The 'Fenix' based Firefoxes) do not generally havean about:config page for you to configure proxy settings manually. It is furthernot possible to use most extensions in Fenix-based Firefoxes. It is possible toenable support about:config and enable more extensions in Firefox Nightly at the time of this writing, but it's a manual and difficult process. IceRaven is a forkof Firefox which enables a collection of extensions while Mozilla and the MozillaCommunity work on adding support for extensions to Firefox for Android. It providesthe easiest way of configuring a modern Firefox-based Browser for Android. It doesnot come from Mozilla and carries no guarantees from them. Installing the extensionin IceRaven will proxy all your IceRaven browsing over I2P.
If you have not installed IceRaven yet, go to the next step. If you have beenusing IceRaven for a while, go to the main menu, select the History tab, and makesure that you have cleared information about your past browsing by tapping the'Delete History' button.
Open the IceRaven main menu, and scroll to the top until you see the 'Add-Ons'submenu. Tap the 'Add-Ons Manager' option in the 'Add-Ons' submenu. Installthe extension named I2P Proxy for Android and other Systems.
Your IceRaven browser is now configured to use I2P.
This extension also works in pre-Fenix(Pre-Firefox-68) Firefox basedweb browsers, if installed from the following addons.mozilla.org URL.I2P Proxy for Android and Other Systems
This extension is identical to the Chromium extension and is built from the same source.

Internet Explorer
In the start menu search for the the 'Network and Internet Settings' to open thesettings. The last entry in the menu is the Proxy Settings, click it toyour proxy to connect to I2P.
Now set the checkmark at 'use a proxy server for your LAN' and at the 'Bypassproxy server for local addresses'. With a click on Advanced-button you open thewindow to open the ports. Enter the values like on the picture, IP 127.0.0.1and port 4444 for HTTP, port 4445 for HTTPS. With clicks on OK you save thesettings and your browser is set to use the I2P proxy.
Outproxy Terms Of Service
Remember: I2P was not designed for creating proxies to the outer Internet.Instead, it is meant to be used as an internal network.
